PANIC ATTACK TEST Panic Attacks are manifested by specific periods of apprehension or fear. These symptoms may or may not be associated with a phobia. (Make a check where symptoms apply to you or a loved one.) WHEN I'M IN, OR EVEN THINK ABOUT BEING IN A FEARFUL SITUATION, I OFTEN EXPERIENCE... Difficulty in breathing Palpitations of the heart _ Chest discomfort or pain Choking or smothering sensations. Dizziness, vertigo, unsteady feelings feelings that aren't real Tunnel vision, peripheral visions or blackness that narrows into a tunnel-like view Sweating Tingling in hands or feet Hot and cold flashes _ Faintness Trembling or shaking Fear of losing control and doing something during an attack fear of going crazy Fear of dying SCORING: If you have checked FOUR or more of the above symptoms, when you're in or near or even thinking about a phobic situation, you or your loved one may be suffering from panic attacks as a result of a trauma, disaster or catastrophe.
